Park, a fascinating spatial concept. The moment you set foot in a park, a generalised sense of greenery delineates a clever separation - even a cramped concrete playground shadowed by buildings around is a little more isolated from the loudness of the city, when decorated with a wooden plank saying "Park". Put on your headphones and play the cassette of "A Random Walk in the Park" with your Walkman, and you will feel quite similar.

As an audio "supplement" to the inaugural issue of Supplementary Materials（《补充资料》）, this compilation is conceptualised from the textual and visual elaboration of the "park" theme and goes beyond to build a smooth-flowing and spatial path that conjures dimensional complexities. Imagine you are invited on a ramble, which lifts your spirit off from the magazine pages and leaps into a spacetime that's no longer bound by the gravity and the ordinary experiences of linear reading, listening and even sightseeing.

Tripping in and out of reality, the eight distinctive musicians sculpted their unique soundscapes using a wide range of music elements: ambient, techno, dub, electro-acoustic improvisation, noise, experimental and even garbage-can-banging post-punk... the sounds or ideas they dwell in are all directly inspired by or sampled from their local parks and are modulated with extra playfulness and a surreal aesthetic which is evoked by the fun slide ride of frequencies.

5 of the bié Records artists - Hualun, Otay:onii, Rainsoft, Sun Dawei and Yangfan, as well as 3 friends of the label - DFU, Wu Zhuo Ling and Simon Frank who work along the lines of "publicity" and "openness" all tapped into the essence of parks, and by no coincidence, resonated with Supplementary Information's motto of "Free yet traceable." The insights into everyday things from a new perspective are just like a thoughtful glimpse through a flower-shaped window in a park - full of humanistic ingenuity and wit.

公园是个迷人的空间概念。在你踏足公园的一瞬间，一种笼统的绿意会划下巧妙的区隔 —— 哪怕是楼宇间被挤压到逼仄的水泥空地，只要挂上公园两个字或是随意摆放一两个粗制滥造的儿童游乐设施，也多了分隔绝于闹市的惬意。

戴上耳机，在随身听里放上《漫走公园》的磁带也有类似的效果。作为《补充资料》创刊号的声音 “补充”，这部合辑在 “公园” 主题的文字与图像之上搭建出连续又有立体层次的空间。你可以把它视作一次由书页出发、飞跃公园、跳脱平面与时间的精神漫走。

神游穿梭在现实内外，8 组音乐人独具匠心的声塑景观既有氛围化的电子音乐和环境即兴创作，也有另类的实验声响或是冷峻与幽默并存的后朋克歌谣。它们直接来源于公园的灵感或采样，在滑梯般起伏的频率变化间都被附上了珍贵的趣味与超现实的美感。

bié Records 的 5 位合作音乐人花伦、Otay:onii 施金豆、Rainsoft、孙大威、杨帆，以及 3 位厂牌的音乐人好友 DFU、吴卓玲和 Simon Frank 在公园 “公共” “开放” 的概念下，不无巧合地踏中了《补充资料》 “自由而有迹可循” 的路线。那些对日常事物全新角度的洞见，正如透过公园 “花窗” 时有心的一瞥 —— 充满着人文的巧思与智趣。
